Still difficult to book an appointment unless it is on the same day. However, average number of times I have to call and redial before I get through is 15 to 20. I usually find if I haven’t managed to get through by 8.40am then I an unlikely to get an appointment that day.

The GPs are amazing, especially the ones I have seen more than once, Dr. Crook, Dr. Carrington, and Dr. Robson. I felt like I was being listened to and didn't feel like I was being judged, which is very important to me because I am mostly at the surgery due to addiction and mental health issues. I felt like everything was ultimately my choice, although the GPs still gave helpful suggestions and advice. The receptionists are always really nice and helpful, and the surgery is always clean. It is sometimes frustrating if I want to book an appointment that day, as there have been times when I have had to make 30+ separate phone calls before I could get through. I understand that it isn't the surgery's fault that it is hard to get an appointment, but a suggestion I would make is to have a queue on the phones, so maybe patients could call and they would just be placed in a queue and have to wait, rather than having to keep calling until the line isn't busy. Overall, best GP surgery I have ever been registered with. I have moved and it would be more convenient for me transport-wise to register somewhere else, but I am still with Biddlestone because I like it so much.

Prescription issued after 13 days from GP and took further few days by pharmacy after Christmas / New year. Unable to get prescription online due to review and no appointments were available. Being diabetic and got medicine after 23 days of actually trying to get medication. Forced to ask Insulin from few other diabetics I know and had to return the medication back once I got my prescription. Reception said we can’t do anything you have beg, borrow steal medication if you need it urgently.

Usually have good experiences at this GP, but my experience yesterday was negative. I understand the pressure doctors are under to see patients in a ten minute spot, however the GP was extremely dismissive and rude, and didn’t seem to understand the issue I was going in for. She tried to dismiss my symptoms as anxiety, despite the fact I told her that anxiety didn’t cause my symptoms - it was the other way around, my symptoms caused me anxiety because I wasn’t being listened to. I left the practice feeling worse and like I shouldn’t have bothered, as I didn’t feel like I was listened to.
